Better Boulder is a proud sponsor of Month of Modern – Boulder’s annual celebration of architecture, design, lifestyle, art and culture.
Month of Modern, October 2-25, is a series of special events designed to cultivate a conversation about Colorado modern, and present the Boulder region as one of the nation’s most vibrant hubs of modern design. Over the course of four weeks, Month of Modern will host host fire-side chats, lectures, home tours, film nights and a fantastic wrap party – all designed to educate, inspire and delight! This annual celebration serves as the platform to highlight Boulder’s diverse design community and its contributions to the fabric and economy, together with examples of some of the latest in design.

Haertling House Tour
October 13 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
See an awe-inspiring group of select Haertling houses that reflect the rich diversity of livable, innovative architecture and design found throughout his buildings.
Movie Night – Urbanized
October 15 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at The Boedecker Theater
Urbanized is a feature-length documentary about the design of cities, which looks at the issues and strategies behind urban design and features some of the world’s foremost architects, planners, policymakers, builders, and thinkers.
We Love the Funk Panel Discussion
October 17 @ 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm at The Museum of Boulder
Architects, planners, and developers from Santa Barbara, Denver, and Boulder will show how they went beyond gentrification to create desirable places of authenticity.
2018 Wrap Party
October 25 @ 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm at eTown
An evening of cocktails, food, music, and good company celebrating the region’s most acclaimed names in modern design. This years Wrap Party features local cuisine, great music and Month of Modern’s first-ever Emerging Designer Showcase.
